Rejuvenating our Praxis: Sharing Critical Hope Conference
November 16, 2024, 10:00am - 3:30pm
Teachers College, Columbia University
Teachers College invites our current students, alumni, and valued partners to an educator-led gathering to restore our spirits, learn from TC alumni & friends and explore curriculum, teaching, assessment, and research from a progressive/critical/liberatory stance.
Now accepting conference proposals
Educators are so vital to the health of our communities, state, country, and world, but often it can feel that we are being asked to do the impossible, with few resources. Especially since COVID, teachers have been under enormous pressure, yet our voices are not often heard. This gathering is designed to position teachers, school leaders, and curriculum workers as the experts we are and to share our policy positions, passions, knowledge, and skills. Are you a teacher who is committed to culturally sustaining and accessible pedagogy? Do you have pedagogical practices and approaches you can share with others? Do you crave conversations about what really matters to you as an educator? Are you a teacher-researcher actively documenting your practice? Are you engaged in activism or advocacy related to K-12 education policy? If so, we are now accepting proposals for the conference.
We need you to share your knowledge!
