The UAD Lab is committed to disseminating novel research findings with the goal of continually enhancing the care of swallowing and cough disorders in patients with neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Sarah Perry was an invited speaker at the Massachusetts General Hospital Dysphagia Grand Rounds on September 27th in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Michelle Troche was also the invited speaker at both the Columbia University Medical Center ENT rounds on July 26th and the Rehab Department rounds on September 20th. Lastly, Dr. Troche was an invited speaker at the New York City Dysphagia Study Group on March 1st, where she spoke on adding cough as a therapeutic target in rehabilitation of airway protection.
Additionally, Dr. Troche, an adjunct faculty member of the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College, will be presenting at the 12th Annual Otolaryngology Update in NYC on October 18th & 19th, 2018. There she will be presenting on Management of Cough Dysfunction in Patients with Dysphagia.
