IEEE RO-MAN 2016 In New York City

Video Submission

Submission deadline: May 22, 2016
Notification of acceptance: May 27, 2016

The RO-MAN 2016 conference invites video submissions relevant to any of the RO-MAN conference topics. Videos should be self-explanatory, and we encourage videos that are innovative, informative, and engaging. Authors of successfully peer-reviewed videos will be given time to briefly describe their video to the conference attendees, and videos will be displayed in designated areas at specific times during the conference. We plan to incorporate the videos into focused discussions throughout the conference. Videos will also be uploaded online so that attendees can post feedback to the authors.

Videos should be self-explanatory. Human voice narrative and captions for explanation of the content is expected. Authors will be given time to briefly describe their video to the conference attendees, and videos will be displayed in designated areas at specific times during the conference. Due to the large size of video files, we ask that the authors prepare their submissions as a one page description of the video that includes a downloadable link to the video. Please DO NOT upload the video on the Papercept submission site. Please limit videos to three minutes in length with a maximum file size of 100 MB, in MPEG, MPEG-4 or MOV (quick time movie) format.

The initial Video Session submission is due on May 22, 2016, and the description (with link to download video) should not exceed one page.

Authors should check prior to submission that their video is viewable using a recent version of VLC media player (cross-platform). The video must be able to play on computers with recent OSX, or Windows operating systems without any need to install  third party codecs. Do not use Digital Rights Management (DRM) on your video file submission.

The tentative schedule is organized so that the videos will be shown on a projected screen or a plasma display. Please use a horizontal resolution of at least 640 pixels. If possible, please you use the maximum resolution allowed within the restricted file size and do not exceed 2048 × 1080.

The proposal must be submitted via the Papercept submission site.*
