Camp 2022 will run from Thursday, June 30th through Friday, July 29th (with no camp on Monday, July 4th). Our camp days begin at 8:30 am and end at 3:15pm.
Camp 2022 is at full capacity. We are no longer accepting applications for this summer, but we welcome your interest for Camp 2023. If you would like to receive application information in the fall, please complete the request form below.
In 2021 we safely re-opened in-person at half capacity for Camp 2021, and we are pleased to announce that it was a joyful, safe, and successful summer. Learn more about last summer's science camp by clicking the button below.
Science is all around us. It is interwoven throughout every moment of our lives and at its heart is wonder. Wonder; the desire to observe and understand what we perceive has fueled scientific inquiry and innovation since the beginning of time. Young children, with their proclivity to question and explore the world around them are natural wonderers and scientists, and early education in the sciences encourages and strengthens this sense of wonder. The elementary years provide the optimal window to immerse children in inquiry-based learning and cultivate this scientific mindset.
In 2020, with the health and safety of every member of our community as our singular priority, in-person Science Camp was not possible. This was an unprecedented situation as it was the first time since 1981 that Teachers College did not welcome our campers to campus.
We drew strength by looking forward, knowing that it was equally important to show our children that, while last summer was different, there was still much we could do. We were thrilled to announce our remote summer program Hollingworth Science Online in place of running an in-person program, and we were thrilled that this program was a success.
