Comparative and International Education (CIES) Northeast Regional Conference Education, Migration, and Displacement

November 13-15, 2026

Teachers College, Columbia University

525 West 120th Street

New York, New York

The CIES Northeast Regional Conference on Education, Migration, and Displacement will explore the complex intersections between education, forced migration, and displacement. As the global displacement crisis continues to escalate, with close to 120 million forcibly displaced persons worldwide, the impact on education systems—ranging from early childhood to higher education—requires urgent scholarly attention. This conference aims to provide a platform for students, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to deepen our understanding of these themes, and to foster a collaborative, interdisciplinary dialogue around solutions and strategies.
