The Shelby County Schools Early College and CTE Partnership (2019-present)
Through this project, NCREST is partnering with the Shelby County Schools College and Career Technical Education (CCTE) division to collect survey and relevant coursework data on their early college and CTE students. The goal of this partnership project is to enable the CCTE division to work with schools to improve student experiences and outcomes, using data about the designs and features of their programs, college course-taking outcomes, and student experiences.
The Michigan Department of Education Early Middle College Project (2018-present)
NCREST serves as a research and thought partner of the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) – Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE), in collaboration with the Michigan Early Middle College Association (MEMCA). Through this project, NCREST is developing a profile of early middle college schools/programs throughout the state of Michigan. The information collected will be used to provide guidance and support to school, program, and state leaders seeking to create and support strong and effective models.
New Jersey Network of Superintendents Documentation
NCREST supports the design and documents the development of the New Jersey Network of Superintendents (NJNS). The NJNS brings together a group of superintendents district leaders in a series of monthly meetings to help them develop systemic approaches to creating more equitable educational opportunities for Black, Latinx, and other students who have been historically disadvantaged.
