Keri Fisher, PT, NCS

Keri is a doctoral student in the Motor Learning and Control EdD program at Teachers College, Columbia University.

She has been a practicing physical therapist since 2002 and a board-certified neurological clinical specialist since 2010. Keri has experience in all areas along the continuum of patient care, including acute hospitalization, inpatient rehabilitation, and home-based neurologic recovery. She gained valuable research experience as a clinical investigator and interventional therapist at the Neuromotor Recovery and Rehabilitation Lab at the University of Cincinnati.

Keri is very passionate about translational research and bringing evidence-informed treatments to patients. Outside of clinical care, Keri is an adjunct faculty at LIU-Brooklyn, where she teaches future clinicians how to incorporate current evidence into practice. She hopes to focus her research on improving functional outcomes, interdisciplinary care, and quality of life after neurological injury or diagnosis.

When she’s not treating or teaching, Keri juggles the excitement and chaos of life with her husband and three children in Brooklyn.
