Here are some frequently asked questions about Studio 447. If you have any additional questions that are not on this list, please email studio447@tc.columbia.edu.
STUDIO 447 is located in Macy 447 (4th floor of Macy Hall, inside the Macy Art Gallery)
Students who are registered in classes that take place in STUDIO 447 are welcome to use materials provided by the studio and prepared for their classes. The Program in Art and Art Education further stipulates that the use of studios is reserved for students who are registered for a TC studio course, Independent Studio Work, or a community program in STUDIO 447.
If you are not currently registered for a course that takes place in STUDIO 447 and If you have any additional questions that are not on this list, please contact the studio fellow, Filippa Christofalou, at studio447@tc.columbia.edu.
According to Teachers College policy, individuals may not use TC studio facilities without being officially registered with the College. Please take a moment to review our full art studio use policies on our FAQ for Current Students page.
Students registered for a class in STUDIO 447 may use any materials in the space during STUDIO HOURS. Materials cannot be removed from the studio without permission and registration.
STUDIO HOURS are reserved for students who are registered for a class in STUDIO 447, have questions, want to make art, and/or wish to work on a project (please advise the calendar as these may change on short notice). STUDIO HOURS are hours during the week when the STUDIO 447 fellow is in the space and can assist with any questions.
