A&HA 4092: Introduction to ceramics
Enrollment limited. For beginners only. Introduction to the basic techniques of hand building, the potters wheel and slab construction. Surface decoration and three-dimensional design. Stoneware and earthenware clay bodies and firing procedures will be addressed. Special fee: $100. Noncredit fee: $600 plus special fee.

Further studies of ceramics with an emphasis on individual projects on an advanced level. Educational aspects of the medium will be discussed along with marketing opportunities for the professional craftsperson. Special fee: $100. Noncredit fee: $600 plus special fee.
