Student Ambassadors

Hello everyone! We are proud to represent Teachers College as the Student Ambassadors in the Office of Admission. We would love to connect with you regarding our experiences in our academic programs, at TC, and in New York City. To reach us, please email tcstudent@tc.columbia.edu. If you would like to connect with one of us in particular about your program of interest, please include that Ambassador’s name in the subject line of your email. We are excited to hear from you!

School Psychology - Master of Education

I am a first-year masters student in the School Psychology program here at Teachers College. I grew up in New Hartford, NY, until I moved away to North Carolina for college. I graduated in 2024 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. Even though I had only visited NYC a handful of times prior to attending TC, I have always wanted to move here! I enjoy going for walks, listening to podcasts, going to the gym, and reading psychological thriller books. I also love exploring the restaurants and bars with my friends after class! During my senior year of undergrad, I was able to focus on my career goals as I was an undergraduate research assistant for an intervention lab. Through my work with elementary school students, I realized I wanted to take what I learned and apply it to communities in need. I am so excited to connect with you and help you on your path and the start of your TC adventure!

Mental Health Counseling - Master of Education

I am a first-year Ed.M. student in the Mental Health Counseling program here at Teachers College. I hope to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have the opportunity to work with adolescents and young adults from diverse backgrounds. I’m from outside of Pittsburgh, PA and I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree at Bucknell University, where I studied Psychology and Women’s & Gender Studies. I recently moved to New York City and have been loving exploring the nearby communities! In my free time, I love going to see musicals, trying out new restaurants, visiting museums, and spending time with friends. I’m looking forward to meeting and supporting you throughout your TC journey!

TESOL/Teaching of English - Master of Arts

I am a first year Master of Arts student in the TESOL/Teaching of English program. Despite being a born-and-raised New Yorker (no sleep ‘til Brooklyn), I got my B.A in English Literature from University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. I came back stateside in 2020, and in 2021, I enrolled in TC’s TESOL Certificate Summer Intensive program and enjoyed it so much I came back to get a degree! I’ve been an ESOL instructor since then. When I’m not teaching or in classes, I’m either studying, listening to music, going to concerts, cooking, or being an admission student ambassador! Welcome to NYC, and welcome to Teachers College!
