Student Ambassadors
Hello everyone! We are proud to represent Teachers College as the Student Ambassadors in the Office of Admission. We would love to connect with you regarding our experiences in our academic programs, at TC, and in New York City. To reach us, please email tcstudent@tc.columbia.edu. If you would like to connect with one of us in particular about your program of interest, please include that Ambassador’s name in the subject line of your email. We are excited to hear from you!
I’m a first-year Master of Arts student in the Developmental Psychology program here at Teachers College. I hope to become an Educational Psychologist who specializes in learning loss recovery efforts in post-disaster school environments. I’m from Baton Rouge, LA, and I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education with minors in Spanish and Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. When I’m not focused on research or advocacy, you can usually find me exploring coffee shops in Brooklyn, reading, or binge watching true crime documentaries. I’m so excited to be a part of your TC journey!
I’m a first-year student in the School Psychology Master of Education program! My long-term goal is to become a School Psychologist working in an elementary or middle school setting. I double majored in Psychology and Education at Colgate University, receiving my B.A. in December, 2024. From growing up on Long Island to spending four years Upstate N.Y., moving to New York City has been so exciting. I enjoy exploring different neighborhoods and connecting with new people. In my free time, you can find me taking long walks and listening to music. I am excited to support you as you embark on your journey at TC!
I’m a first-year Master of Arts student in the Higher & Postsecondary Education program here at Teachers College. I’m from Falls Church, Virginia, though my roots are just outside of Philadelphia (Go Birds!). I earned my B.A. in English and Public Policy & Leadership from the University of Virginia in 2020. Academically, I’m interested in the intersection between history, identity formation, and student development in higher education. I aim to put equity promotion and social change theory into practice as an admissions or student affairs professional. In my spare time, you can catch me reading the classics, going for long runs in Riverside Park, and chasing art through New York’s incredible museum scene. I look forward to supporting you in your TC journey, so please reach out any time!
I am a first-year masters student in the School Psychology program here at Teachers College. I grew up in New Hartford, NY, until I moved away to North Carolina for college. I graduated in 2024 from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Cognitive Science. Even though I had only visited NYC a handful of times prior to attending TC, I have always wanted to move here! I enjoy going for walks, listening to podcasts, going to the gym, and reading psychological thriller books. I also love exploring the restaurants and bars with my friends after class! During my senior year of undergrad, I was able to focus on my career goals as I was an undergraduate research assistant for an intervention lab. Through my work with elementary school students, I realized I wanted to take what I learned and apply it to communities in need. I am so excited to connect with you and help you on your path and the start of your TC adventure!
I’m a first-year Master of Arts student in the Clinical Psychology program at Teachers College. I aspire to become a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in trauma in adolescents. I am from New Haven, CT, but lived in the Bay Area for the past two years, where I worked as a 4th grade lead teacher. I graduated in 2022 from Muhlenberg College and earned my B.A. in Psychology and Sustainability Studies. In my spare time I enjoy reading at a cafe, going to museums, catching a show on Broadway, and walking through Central Park. In addition to being a Student Ambassador, I am a general RA in the Cognitive Neuropsychology Research Lab. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about Teachers College and look forward to speaking with you!
I am a first-year Ed.M. student in the School Counselor program here at Teachers College! I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and earned my B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in Psychology from North Carolina State University. Following graduation, I taught first grade for three years at a local elementary school. This is where I realized my passion for helping kiddos develop their academic, social-emotional and career skills in order to better prepare them for the world, through school counseling. In my spare time, I like to go on walks, read books, crochet in cafés, and explore the city! I am so excited to connect with you and support you on your TC journey!
