2020-2021 Tuition & Fees

The financial planning process should begin well before you are admitted to the institution and continue throughout your academic career. We hope that you will find this information helpful as you move beyond your initial stage of graduate education exploration.


The tuition rate for 2020-2021 (Fall 2020, Spring 2021, and Summer 2021) is estimated at $1,768 per credit hour. The college fee is estimated at $478 per semester and cannot be waived.

The price of tuition per credit hour is the same for both master's and doctoral students. There is no in-state or out-of-state tuition rate with the exception of some special cohort programs. The average class is three credit hours.

*Official health fees and insurance costs for 2020-2021 should be discussed with the Office of Insurance and Immunization Records.

Every student's budget and cost will be different and will vary depending on the number of credit hours & terms for which the student plans to attend during the year (period of enrollment). Additional items such as books/supplies, personal/living expenses, and transportation costs will also affect other costs you may incur during your time at TC. Note that these additional budget items, unlike tuition and fees, are variable expenses for you to determine how they would be factored in and covered by your financial aid as needed.

Budgeting Groups for the 2020-2021 Academic Year

  • Full-Time Student: A student enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester.
  • Three Quarter-Time Student: A student enrolled in 9-11 credit hours per semester.
  • Half-Time Student: A student enrolled in 6-8 credit hours per semester.
  • Less-Than-Half-Time Student: A student enrolled in 5 or less credit hours per semester. These students are not eligible to receive federal aid.
