Former Teachers College Student Named Principal of the Year

A Teachers College doctoral graduate, Michael Pladus, was just named the 1999 National Principal of the Year. Pladus is the principal at Interboro High School in Prospect Park, Pa., a Philadelphia suburb. USA Today reported the news on its Web site January 27. The article, written by Tamara Henry, also said that Teachers College is "considered to be the best graduate school of education in the country."
