External Affairs Story/Photo Submission Policy
In light of the many requests that come in to the Office of External Affairs for photos and photography services, we'd like to clarify our policies regarding story submissions and photography.
Story/Photo Idea Submissions: If you are planning an event and would like to suggest a story for Inside TC, please fill out a story idea form on the Web at www.tc.edu/newsbureau/newsrequest.htm at least three weeks before the date of the event. Since we cannot cover every story and reserve the right to decide which stories will appear in Inside TC, we will respond to your submissions within five business days.
Similarly, in order to request photos to be taken by External Affairs, please fill out the online request form at www.tc.edu/newsbureau/newsrequest.htm three weeks in advance for events and other programs, and in any other situation, where notification cannot be given three weeks in advance, by the earliest possible date. External Affairs cannot guarantee that it will provide a photographer if this procedure is not followed. Requests submitted the day before or day of an event will not be honored.
Deadlines: Our Inside TC deadline dates indicate the day by which all Calendar items should be submitted.
Photo Archives: Faculty head shots and photos of the College are available to sign out from our office for use on Web sites or in other publications. Please call x3412 for an appointment if you would like to browse our photo files. Scanning these photographs is the responsibility of the borrower.
Faculty Headshots: Head shots are taken by a professional photographer every semester. Faculty members whose photos need to be updated or for whom we have no official photos will be contacted at those times. Faculty members who would like to request new head shots my do so via the Web site: www.tc.edu/newsbureau/newsrequest.htm.
