The John Dewey Leadership Award was presented to TC Board of Trustees Co-Chair Jack Hyland at a reception on October 14 that welcomed 43 new members to the John Dewey Circle. Hyland was honored for his long and dedicated service to the College, including 14 years on the Board, for his work as founding board member for TC Innovations, and for his leadership during the recent $155 million Capital Campaign.

The Dewey Circle is a select group of high-level donors who contribute a minimum of $1,000 each year to the Teachers College Annual Fund. With their help, the Fund raised $1.4 million last year.

Elaine La Monica Rigolosi, past chair of TC's Department of Organization and Leadership, welcomed the new members at the reception. "By supporting the annual fund," she said, "I am respecting TC's history-my history-while embracing our future."
