The Center on Education Policy has just released a comprehensive new report on the U.S. education system and how things have changed-- and will continue to change -- over time.  The primer, A Public Education Primer: Basic (and Sometimes Surprising) Facts about the U.S. Education System, provides a vivid picture of the nation's public schools by answering questions such as:
