Applying to college is especially tough for first generation immigrants, but the first step is to demystify the process, says TC's Michelle Knight, quoted in an article in Teaching Tolerance.

InCollege-Ready: Preparing Black and Latina/o Youth for Higher Education, Knight and her co-author Joanne Marciano, provide insight into who and what influences college-going processes and engaging readers in critical analysis to create culturally relevant policies and practices within their own school contexts.
