Save the date: Just Food Conference at TC 3/15/15

Workshops, skill-building sessions, and plenaries around creating a healthy, sustainable, just food system.
We are excited to be co-hosting the Just Food Conference here at Teachers College again this year on Sunday, March 15th.

The annual Just Food Conference offers opportunities for the general public, CSA members, community organizers, and farmers to come together for workshops, skill-building sessions, and plenaries. The conference provides attendees with opportunities to learn about food and nutrition education, food policy, regional farm and food issues, CSA trends, and cooking and food preservation techniques, as well as ways to mobilize communities in order to increase access to farm-fresh, locally grown food.

To learn more about the conference and to purchase tickets, go to https://jfc2015.topi.com/. Updates about the 2015 conference, including workshop topics and speakers will be posted soon.

For a taste of last year's conference, check out these five inspiring food talks from last year's conference. Five food movement leaders shared their stories, ideas, and perspectives on a food-related topic. Speakers included Rafael Aponte of Rocky Acres Community Farm, Dennis Derryck of Corbin Hill Farm, Tony Hillery of Harlem Grown, Rachelle Faroul of Just Food, and Kathy Lawrence of School Food FOCUS.
