Dear Members of the TC Community:

Throughout our history, Teachers College has looked boldly to the future, adapting, growing and evolving to prepare generations of aspiring educators, psychologists and health professionals to lead the change we need in our world.

As we evolve, we must ensure our identity and mission statement clearly capture and exemplify the distinctive role Teachers College plays as a force for good. To this end, the College has embarked on exciting and critical work to update our mission statement and strengthen our brand identity which will ensure that the College can effectively communicate our core values, strengths and offerings, and enhance TC’s position as a preeminent institution of research, teaching and learning in our fields of study. To this end, we are pleased to share:

  • Following an extensive search, we are partnering with Ologie, a branding and marketing firm, to help us accomplish this work.
  • Members of the TC community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni and donors, will participate in this work through discovery interviews, and will be updated on progress throughout the process.
  • An enhanced mission statement will be developed, along with new brand guidelines, by the summer, with a launch in the Fall 2022 semester. 

Your voice and feedback will be incredibly important throughout the process. We look forward to sharing more information on this initiative in the weeks to come.
