WELCOME TO THE CERAMICS ART STUDIO AT TEACHERS COLLEGE
The Ceramics Art Studio is a part of the Art and Art Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University and it is one of the few art education graduate programs that require studio classes and provides vast artistic resources to its students. Ceramics has been a part of arts education at Teachers College since the university’s inception in 1887. A widely diverse group of current ceramic artists and art educators work together in an environment that fosters research, education, and creative exploration. The curriculum includes introductory, advanced, and independent study courses for degree-seeking students and courses for the community at large. The studio is a large open-plan shared space where open studio hours are plentiful.
