David Matthew Prior, MCC

David Matthew Prior, MCC, BCC, is an executive coach who specializes in leadership development for senior managers and their teams, with a concentration in the leadership pipeline.   His 15 years of corporate coaching has included work with a range of leadership levels (C-level, Senior VP, VP, Director, Manager) in a multiplicity of industries, including coaching assignments with L'Oreal, Maersk, BNP Paribas, Nokia, LEGO, Nokia Siemens Network, HBO, Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, Newmont Mining, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Johnson & Johnson, LifeCell, Integra, Weleda NA, and Omgeo.  David builds trust quickly with his clients though a skillful blend of intuition and emotional intelligence, complemented by his coaching credibility as a known entity within the coaching profession.

He served a two-year term as Vice President and Executive Committee Member on the Global Board of Directors for the International Coach Federation (ICF); membership at 15,000.   Prior to that, he served as Co-Chair of the ICF Ethics and Standards Committee with oversight responsibility for revisions to the ICF Code of Ethics and supervision of the ICF Ethical Conduct Review Process.

David has worked in the Department of Leadership and Human Capital Management at New York University (NYU) as a coaching faculty member in the Organizational Coaching Certificate Program and at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD Executive and Professional Coach Training Program) in the roles of faculty, mentor coach and coach examiner.  David authors a monthly column, “Coaching Integrity in Business”, for UTD’s coaching newsletter publication and has been featured as a Coach for Men’s Health Magazine, Spain.

Certified in the Booth 360, MDLI 360, DISC and PIAV, David has an MBA from Thunderbird in international business and speaks and conducts business fluently in both Spanish and French.  His previous background included 5 years as a Trust and Financial Planning Officer for Chase Bank followed by 7 years as a teacher of improvisation to professional actors at the Michael Howard Studios in New York. David is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, NY.
