Puppets in Education Exhibit and Video Series

Puppets in Education explores the practice of animating the inanimate. Our relationship with puppets goes back both through our earliest memories and our human history. From the earliest dolls to the most complex marionettes, from the classroom curriculum to television programming, from animating an object to the digital armatures of virtual reality, we find our gestures and expression channeled through puppets. The Puppets in Education video series shares design insights and questions connected to archive, string, parade, printed, virtual, and artificial puppetry.

Human-Nature Entanglements: Multimedia Exhibit

"In times of ecological unraveling, Human-Nature Entanglements: Explorations in Creativity Beyond Human looks into biodesign as a creative space to reimagine humans’ relationship with nature. The exhibition presents an array of material explorations in shape, texture, and color resulting from an entanglement with mycelium (the underground networks of mushrooms), technologies, bioplastics, waste, and other materials."

Sound Propositions Podcast

"Sound Propositions features conversations with artists exploring their creative practices and individual aesthetics, conceived of as a counter-narrative to a dominant trend in music journalism which fetishizes equipment and new technologies. Each episode combines interviews with music, field-recordings, and experimental sound design."
