Enrollment Management Leadership Team

Kate joined Teachers College in November 2021 and currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, overseeing the Office of Admission and Enrollment Management Marketing and Communications. She also spearheads effective cross-college collaborations between Enrollment Management, academic departments, and campus partners to strategically shape the incoming class and meet institutional enrollment goals. She brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, having served in development, alumni relations, and undergraduate admissions, most recently serving as the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Rutgers University – New Brunswick. Kate earned her B.A. in History/Psychology from Rutgers University - New Brunswick and her M.S. in Public Administration from Villanova University. She lives in NJ with her husband, son and two incredibly high maintenance French bulldogs – Ollie and Charlie! When she’s not hard at work you will most likely find her striking a yoga pose, binge-watching a Netflix series, cheering on her favorite college athletic teams, or spending precious time with family.

Hailing from Westbury, Long Island, Deanna earned a B.A. in Psychology at Stony Brook University and an M.A. in Psychology in Education at Teachers College. Her journey in higher education began as a student ambassador, a role that was pivotal in shaping her career in admissions. Over the past two decades, she has cultivated her admission skills and developed a strong enthusiasm for recruitment and event planning. This experience led her to her current position, where she oversees on-campus, off-campus and virtual recruitment initiatives, and aims to enhance the overall campus experience. She is proud to be part of such a vibrant and caring community at Teachers College. TC's innovative faculty and incredibly talented student body continually inspire her. Outside of work, she is an avid tennis fan, a cupcake and Disney enthusiast, and she aims to have at least one meal a week involving buffalo chicken.

As the Director of Enrollment Marketing and Communications, Jenn and her team are responsible for all prospective through admitted student marketing and communications activities: from email to web to social media. Jenn joined Teachers College in 2022, following a nearly 10 year career in higher education. Jenn has lived in five states in the last decade, but she is overjoyed to have settled in New York City and at Teachers College. TC’s students and faculty impress her routinely, with their desire to change the world and their commitment to social justice. In Jenn’s spare time, she likes to snowshoe, make/eat ice cream, work on her Spanish, and watch too much TikTok.

Megan Massaro is the Executive Director of Enrollment Management, where she oversees the Offices of the Registrar and Financial Aid. With nearly five years of experience at Teachers College, she deeply appreciates the dynamic environment and the wonderful colleagues she collaborates with. Megan has dedicated roughly 20 years to higher education, having previously worked in both the SUNY and CUNY systems, as well as Montclair State University in New Jersey. Originally from Brooklyn, she has called Upper Manhattan home for the past two decades. In her free time, Megan enjoys playing flag football and attending as many New York Mets games as possible.

Christopher Nieves serves as the Director of the Registrar's Office, leading his dedicated team of professionals as they work to ensure student success by providing comprehensive support for all registration, course scheduling, and student record related matters.

Christopher began his higher education career in 2014 at his alma mater, St John's University, where he quickly ascended through several roles within their Registrar's Office over the course of six years. Christopher then came to TC as the Associate Registrar during the height of the pandemic in Summer 2020 and has since risen to the Director role, effective Fall 2023. Christopher has grown to love the TC community and genuinely enjoys helping our students achieve their educational and career goals.

During his free time, Christopher is an avid reader and enjoys watching his favorite New York sports teams, even when they are losing.

Roza works as the Director of Enrollment Research & Strategy leading a small team of Enrollment Research Analyst and student assistants who work to provide data, reports, and insights to the leadership and various offices throughout the areas of Enrollment Management and beyond. Prior to starting at Teachers College in 2023, she worked at two- and four-year SUNY and private colleges. Her prior roles were in personal and career counseling, academic and transfer advising, academic affairs and institutional research. Some of her favorite things about working at TC are her colleagues and students, as well as TC's focus on preparing the next generation educators. In her spare time, Roza likes to spend time with family and friends, ride a bicycle, practice yoga and read.

Nicole first began her journey at TC over a decade ago as a master's student in the Higher & Postsecondary Education program. Originally from Poughkeepsie, NY, she came to TC shortly after completing her undergraduate studies at Siena College, where she studied psychology, and more importantly, realized her passion for working in higher education! During her time at TC, Nicole has been fortunate to serve in a number of capacities across Enrollment Management. In her current role, much of the work she does is focused on improving student resources and access, application and portal management, utilizing data-driven enrollment planning, and more efficiently streamlining admission operations. Nicole is grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the TC community as a member of the amazing Office of Admission team and as an alum. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active at the gym and through fitness classes, traveling, and watching sports.

Thomas joined TC in September 2021 and currently manages the daily operations of the Office of Enrollment Services. Driven by a passion for connecting students with essential resources throughout their time at TC, Thomas brings over 32 years of experience in higher education to the role. He has worked in Enrollment Management at several institutions, including Pace University, Yeshiva University, Marymount Manhattan College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Mercy University, and Manhattan School of Music. In hisfree time, Thomas enjoys DIY projects, reading, watching movies, and relaxing by the lake.
