Research Discipline/Bio

Amany is an EdD candidate in Technology, Media, and Learning, specializing in embodied conversational AI and immersive learning technologies. Her research investigates how embodied multimodal conversational AI in education and human-centered design can enhance learning, foster meaningful learner interaction and authentic connection. She lectures at the Media University of Applied Design in Berlin on conversational AI and has taught Human-Computer Interaction, UX Research, and XR Design at New York Institute of Technology. Amany’s award winning VR app, Mindflow VR, was recognized as the ‘Most Engaging App’ by Ringling College. She mentored students in a Meta design sprint developing AI companions for Meta’s ecosystem including Meta Horizon Worlds. She founded the AI focused student organization, Intelligent Reality in Education Association. She has also led several leadership roles in research and industry conferences.
