John Allegrante has recently been appointed to serve on the Board of Scientific Counselors,

National Center for Injury Prevention and Control of the Centers for Disease Control.

O. Roger Anderson has been appointed as Special Editor of the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education for the Issue on "Neuroscience Perspectives on Mathematics and Science Education" in honor of his pioneering and continued contributions to neurocognitive theory in science learning.

Corbin Campbell has recently been appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of College Student Development.

Steven Dubin will have a book launch on April 9, 2013 for his book Spearheading Debate (Jacana Media, 2012) with Professor Isabel Hofmeyr from the University of Witwatersrand at Columbia University’s Institute of African Studies.

Michelle Knight has been selected to receive a grant award from AERA for her proposed Education Research Service Project (ERSP), “Strengthening Supplemental Literacy Supports for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse English Language Learners.”

Corbin Campbell was appointed to the Editorial Board for Research in Higher Education.

The R. Douglas Greer Educational Laboratory, a learning center and laboratory in Italy has been named after Douglas Greer.

Henry Levin received an honorary doctorate from San Marcos National University in Lima, Peru, the oldest university in the Americas, chartered in 1551 by the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V, and the leading university in Peru.

Lisa Miller was elected to Council of the American Psychological Association, the organization governing body that sets standards for the field and makes recommendations for national policy June 2012.

Ellie Drago-Severson was elected to serve on the Harvard Graduate School of Education Alumni Council for 2012-2016

Derald Wing Sue was recently appointed to the Advisory Group for UNESCO’s “Teaching Respect for All,” a joint initiative of the United Nations – USA – Brazil to design a curricular framework to fight racism and promote tolerance, which countries can adapt to their respective contexts and needs. Started in January 2012, UNESCO will begin field testing curricular content in pilot schools throughout Asia, Europe, Middle East, Latin America and Africa in 2013.
