Scholarly Interests

I am interested in the role of history and citizenship education in conflict-affected contexts. I am currently examining the relationship between education and transitional justice (TJ), particularly looking at how TJ goals, measures, and institutions relate to schools and school-level practices. My research engages with youth perspectives and decision-making concerning the legacies of systematic violence and their daily navigation of social life.
