Our interdisciplinary preparation grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Education, provides partial tuition funding each year for a cohort of scholars in the Deaf & Hard of Hearing and Communication Sciences & Disorders programs. Through shared coursework, practicum experiences, and a speaker series, CoCo scholars prepare to work with deaf and hard of hearing children and their families. TOC is a New York State Education Department grant funded program designed to increase the number of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged individuals in the teaching profession. Individuals in the following underrepresented groups will be given first priority: Asian; Black/African American; Hispanic/Latino, American Indian and Alaskan Native; Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander. The Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program is intended to encourage individuals to enter and continue in the teaching profession.
