Executive Summary: Advocating for Anti-Racism Practices

Elyse Frank & Kayla Parr, Ph.D. students, are teaming up with doctoral students in the Education Policy and Social Analysis (EPSA) to create a community of student-led organizers for racial and social justice at Teachers College doctoral students in the Education Policy and Social Analysis (EPSA). They are currently reaching out to find others in the college doing or interested in doing similar work and bringing everyone together.

Kayla Parr, a Ph.D. student, has published an article with Dixelia López, Denisse Ochoa, and Monica Romero that was featured in Volume 49, Number 4 (December 2020) of NASP's Communiqué.

Description: “This article provides a snapshot of cultural considerations for effective mental health service delivery when working with Latinx/Hispanics youth. Attending to Latinx/Hispanic cultural norms, beliefs, and attitudes is vital in the delivery of culturally responsive mental health services by school psychologist practitioners and trainers.”
