At ISTE 2023, Jullia shared her story of how she has empowered cutting-edge technology in education. By leveraging augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR) and artificial intelligence (AI), Jullia designed inclusive learning experiences for diverse audiences, including learners with special needs like autism and patients who stutter.
Her projects include an AR app to help young learners identify shapes in the user's physical surroundings (which is especially helpful for children with autism), MR experience to help individuals with special needs enhance social communication, and an AI-powered VR app to enhance speech therapy experiences for patients who stutter practice speech and overcome anxiety. In her current doctoral studies, Julia explores generative AI media in educational settings.
