NCREST Website

Acknowledgments

This website is inspired by the life and work of Lee Shulman. It reflects his commitment to connecting generations of scholars, bridging theory and practice, and the development of a professional knowledge base.

The websites in this exhibition are drawn from the Gallery of Teaching and Learning of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Images of Practice developed at the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools, and Teaching (NCREST).

The exhibition was produced by Thomas Hatch, Connie J. Sun, Pam Grossman, and Paul Neira with the assistance of Tammi Chang (please cite as Hatch, T., Sun, C., Grossman, P., Neira, P. & Chang, T. (2008). New York: NCREST. Retrieved from http://www.tc.columbia.edu/ncrest/exhibitions/learningfrompractice/index.html). Website and graphics were designed by Connie Sun. It is the product of a symposium “From practice to practice: What novice teachers and teacher educators can learn from one another” held at the Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association, New York in 2008. The participants in that session were Travis Bristol, Pam Grossman, Thomas Hatch, Magdelene Lampert, and Emily Venson.
