Columbia’s Morningside Campus
Columbia University has communicated expanded access at the Morningside campus, effective Tuesday, September 2.

Campus Access Policy
Columbia’s Morningside campus remains open to active affiliate CUID holders, registered alumni, and approved guests only. As Columbia affiliates, Teachers College community members (Students, Faculty, and Staff) with a valid TCID have access to the Morningside campus.

Gate Operations

  • More Gates, Extended Hours. CU will be making more gates available for entry with extended hours to accommodate the community. Up-to-date information about current campus access points is available on their site.
  • Dedicated Line for QR Code Access. To help speed entry, CU has created a dedicated line at 116th and Broadway (north gate) for approved visitors with valid guest access QR codes.

TC Community members are encouraged to periodically check the Columbia Public Safety website for Morningside Campus Access information, changes, and updates. This information is also accessible via the TC Safe app.

Teachers College Campus
All Columbia-affiliated community members, as well as guests and visitors, may access TC’s campus. This includes the Zankel Hall entrance as well as the 528 access point and driveway. Campus access continues to be available from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.

TC Community members and Columbia affiliates are required to swipe for access. Visitors and guests can gain access to the campus by checking in with a government-issued ID at the Public Safety desk, located in Zankel Hall.
