Advocacy

Through advocacy, the council encourages:

  • Leadership Collaboration:
    • SASC, through its co-chairs, serves as a thought partner to the TC leadership by presenting staff feedback and serving as a thought partner to offer creative solutions to enhance workplace culture and the employee experience.
  • Staff Voices
    • Partner with TCHR on the annual "Our Voice" engagement survey to understand and address staff concerns and feedback.
    • Work collaboratively across teams and functional areas to create opportunities for staff to share feedback and ideas through various channels.
  • Promote Community on Campus
    • Advocate for policies/processes and equitable practices across all departments, including but not limited to: College-Wide Benefits and Access & Campus Safety.
  • Policy Review and Recommendations
    • In collaboration with leadership, develop and inform staff-related policies, processes, and best practices, and recommend changes that align with staff needs along with institutional goals.
