Columbia University has instituted a new, streamlined guest access process to allow members of the Teachers College community to register guests for access to the Morningside Campus. Students can now register two (2) guests per day and faculty/staff members can register up to five (5) guests per day. Please see the details below.
Same Day Guest Registration
Members of the TC community can complete this registration form* to register their guests. Once the registration form is completed, requestors will receive a confirmation email message. Each guest will also receive an email confirmation containing a QR code for access.
To enter campus, guests can use the available entry points and must display a government-issued ID that matches the name on their email confirmation, along with the QR code in their confirmation for scanning. QR codes can only be scanned once for valid entry to campus. If the same guest needs to come to campus on multiple days, a separate registration submission and QR code is needed for each day.
View the Columbia University Campus Access web page for the latest submission deadlines and additional information.
Advanced & Group Registration
For advanced-registration of guests and groups, pre-registration is required via the registration form. To assist with pre-registration, TC has designated campus access approvers from the Division of Community & Student Affairs, who will review advanced guest registration requests for the Columbia campus. These requests will be reviewed Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Last-minute requests for advanced and group registrations will not be honored. Please plan guest access accordingly.
As a reminder, all community members and visitors accessing Columbia’s Morningside campus are required to adhere to the University rules and policies, and we thank you for your cooperation.
*To access, you must authenticate entry through DUO (MFA); you will be prompted to login with your Columbia University credentials. Your password may not be the same as your TC Portal password. If you cannot remember your password, you may need to reset it (manage my UNI). For assistance, please consult this webpage.
