Dear Students:
We are pleased to continue coordinating a series of ACT education and awareness-building sessions with partners Project Shema on the topic of Jewish Peoplehood and Antisemitism and the Muslim Community Network on the topic of Islam and Islamophobia. As previously promised, we are writing to share the details of the session with the Muslim Community Network below:
ACT Awareness Session with Muslim Community Network
Tuesday, April 15
1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Grace Dodge 279
Muslim Community Network (MCN) is an organization dedicated to using civic education and leadership development to help individuals learn what it means to be Muslim in the United States. MCN envisions a society where mutual understanding and respect are the norm, and their vision is anchored in their commitment to three core pillars: Community Education, Leadership Development, and Advocacy. Note that this is a 2-hour session.
Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. This session is intentionally small, no more than 30 participants, so that it can be meaningful and interactive. Our registration form includes a way to let us know of your interest even when we reach capacity, which helps inform future programming.
Join us and Learn! We look forward to your continued engagement in the ACT programming, and thank you again for being with us.
Warmly,
Janice S. Robinson
