As promised, we are writing to share the details of the upcoming ACT education and awareness-building session for staff, in partnership with Muslim Community Network, on the topic of Islam and Islamophobia:
ACT Awareness Session with Muslim Community Network
Tuesday, December 17

Muslim Community Network (MCN) is an organization dedicated to using civic education and leadership development to help individuals learn what it means to be Muslim in the United States. MCN envisions a society where mutual understanding and respect are the norm, and their vision is anchored in their commitment to three core pillars: Community Education, Leadership Development and Advocacy. Note that this is a 2.5-hour session.
Additionally, there is still space available in next week’s session with Project Shema on the topic of Jewish Peoplehood and Antisemitism:
ACT Awareness Session with Project Shema
Wednesday, December 11
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided.
Project Shema is a training and support organization focused on addressing contemporary antisemitism with an emphasis on how anti-Jewish ideas and implicit biases can be carried alongside conversations about Israel and Palestine. Listening with curiosity and compassion is at the center of their relational engagement approach, and the organization’s goal is to help others understand Jewish identity, stories and lived experiences. Note that this is a 4-hour session.
Each session is an opportunity to learn, to engage with and better understand the history and cultural contexts of antisemitism and Islamophobia. These sessions are intentionally small, with no more than 30 participants in each, so that they will be meaningful and interactive. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached.
We have been so pleased to have the staff engaged in our ACT initiatives, and we encourage you to join us for both of these sessions. We look forward to your continued engagement in the ACT programming, and thank you again for being with us.
