The Food Ed Hub, housed in the Tisch Food Center, works to ensure that all NYC students have quality food and nutrition education and sustainably-produced, culturally-responsive, healthy school food.
The Food Ed Coalition is a diverse group of advocates, program leaders, school community members, and other stakeholders convened by the Tisch Food Center, working to support the most vulnerable communities in New York City.
The current public health crisis has highlighted the important role that schools play in students’ diets and made increasingly clear how dangerous diet-related diseases can be. Despite financial hurdles, Food Ed Coalition members continue to provide meals, deliver groceries, conduct outreach about available food assistance, and offer virtual food education sessions.

The Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education & Policy, in the Program in Nutrition conducts research on food and nutrition education practice and policy. We translate our research into resources for educators, policy makers, and advocates to give people power to demand healthy, just, sustainable food.
