Between 2013-2016, we conducted a longitudinal program evaluation with Edible Schoolyard NYC. The study measured changes in students’ understandings, beliefs, and eating behaviors over multiple years. Edible Schoolyard NYC partners with public schools to build gardens and kitchen classrooms where children can engage in hands-on learning. Their goal is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and supportive environment required to make healthier choices and change the way students eat… for life.
