Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP)


Teachers College is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), a national accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. The 2021 Accreditation Action Report have been awarded full accreditation by AAQEP through June 30, 2028. Full accreditation acknowledges that a program prepares effective educators who continue to grow as professionals and has demonstrated the commitment and capacity to maintain quality.

Previous Accreditation - CAEP

Teachers College programs for the initial and advanced preparation of teachers at the master’s level, for the preparation of school counselors at the master’s level, for the preparation of school psychologists at the master’s and doctoral levels, and for the preparation of school building and district administrators at the master’s and doctoral levels were accredited by the Council for the Accreditaion of Educator Preparation (CAEP). However, the accreditation did not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, relicensure, or other purposes.
