Types of Assistance

There are several funding resources for students who apply for admission at TC, such as scholarships, federal student aid, student employment opportunities as well as external scholarship funding. Visit our prospective student website to learn more about your funding options.

How to Apply

Students must complete the scholarship application section within the application for admission in order to be considered for any institutional as well as program funding.

Because the SMBI program begins during the summer semester, students must submit the appropriate FAFSAs in order to be considered for federal aid:

  • Complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA no later than June 2020 using the Teachers College School Code: G03979
  • Complete the 2020-2021 FAFSA using the Teachers College School Code: G03979

For students who are considering funding their education through federal student aid, a FAFSA application will be needed for each academic year of attendance.

Tuition Cost

Tuition costs and fees for the SMBI program will vary based on your terms of enrollment and class registration. Tuition costs do not include other variable expenses that you may need in order to fund your studies at TC. Additional budget items that you may want to consider within your budget could be costs for room and board, personal and/or transportation expenses and class-related special fees.
