Dear Members of the TC Community:

As you may have heard, New York State has announced new expansions of COVID-19 vaccine eligibility for residents.

  • Beginning today, March 30, New Yorkers 30 years of age and older are eligible to receive the vaccine.
  • Beginning April 6, all New Yorkers 16 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine.

As a reminder, eligible Columbia University and Columbia University-affiliated faculty, staff and students can get the vaccine at any of the New York City or New York State public vaccination sites or at the Fort Washington Armory. Appointments are required for all vaccinations, and scheduling information is available at the VaccineTogetherNY website.

Notably, New York State also said that more than 9 million total doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered across all vaccination sites – with 29.6% of people in New York State having received at least one dose of a vaccine as of Monday morning.

At the same time, New York is again experiencing one of the nation’s highest rates of new COVID-19 cases, following only New Jersey. As New York City businesses reopen, we ask that everyone in the TC community – including those who are vaccinated – continue to observe all of our health and safety guidelines and protocols.

Please also continue to reference the COVID-19 vaccination information section on the TC Preparedness site for information and links to resources, including guidelines for New York City and State, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,
