Ancient Mirrors

Thomas Lollar in collaboration with Ricardo Arango presents a collection of contemporary interpretation of ancient Etruscan and Roman hand-mirrors. The work is inspired by mirrors that served as functional objects, as well as beautiful sculptures imbued with otherworldly spiritual qualities.

This show of paintings and video installations by Teachers College Art & Art Education Program doctoral students Uisuk Byeon and Jihyun Kim questions the conventional relationships between the artwork, artist, and viewer by exploring different modes of viewer interaction and participation.
