"Though my students study from different locations this semester, I wanted to give them as many opportunities as possible to form a sense of learning community. This is one of the projects where they collaborated to create a video sharing their study abroad experiences at the Community Language Program to prospective students. Through this collaboration, they developed their speaking competence and made memories that will last forever. As their teacher, I am so proud of this project's outcome and glad to see the close bond developed between my students!"

Nothing could be better than seeing how motivated the students become and how interactive they are in class, which is the best part of being a teacher. Those nights spent on preparing for classes are all paid off when the students tell me how much they love the activities I created and when the students become more confident in speaking English. Thanks for the Community Language Program which provides the opportunity for me to make friends with those lovely students.
"The experience has really helped me evolve into a more thoughtful educator and a reflective practitioner. It has been the most rewarding experience I've ever had as a graduate student at TC! Teaching students with diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences has been truly fascinating. I've had the pleasure of learning about the Brazilian cuisine, the insights on the Japanese tradition of "hanami" and the social etiquettes from different countries. The interactions with my students have truly broadened my horizons as an educator!"
"Teaching at the CLP offers a great mix of support and flexibility that has pushed me to develop many real-world teaching skills very quickly. Having the support of a world-class group of educators and academics has helped me develop a reflective teaching practice that I'm sure will serve me far into my career. I have greatly enjoyed teaching such a diverse group of students. The language classroom can be a very supportive and welcoming place, where students share their experiences and bring their backgrounds to bear. It has opened my eyes to many new points of view."
