Banner is the Student Information and Enterprise Resource Planning system used at Teachers College. Banner is TC’s system of record for student, faculty, course, financial aid, personnel and financial data. Banner is accessed through “Admin Pages” by administrative staff to manage this data, and through “Self-Service” by all end users on the myTC portal to access/update their own information.
Canvas is one of several learning management systems (LMS) supported at Teachers College. Any questions regarding this LMS, please contact Academic Technology or a Tech Fellow.
File Share COLLABORATION
Online file sharing service that allows collaboration within a team, by sharing and editing resources collaboratively.
G Suite COLLABORATION
G Suite is a collection of cloud computing productivity and collaboration software tools and software offered on a subscription basis by Google. It includes Google's popular web applications including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Hangouts, Google Calendar, and Google Docs.
Mahara is a fully featured electronic portfolio, weblog, resume builder and social networking system, connecting users and creating online communities.
Qualtrics is a survey tool. It is easy-to-use, web-based tool for creating and conducting online surveys.
SMART Board SOFTWARE
An interactive display using SMART Notebook, an educational software that allows teachers to create engaging interactive learning experiences. Desktop licensing is available for faculty.
Tegrity is a fully automated lecture capture solution to record lessons, lectures, and skills. It can be used in various types of classrooms such as traditional, hybrid, "flipped classes", and online courses. Its personalized learning features make study time efficient and can reach every student on campus.
Turnitin reveals content matches in student writing. It helps students take ownership of their work and practice proper citation. It is available via Canvas.
TC WiFi INFOSYSTEM
There are three ways to connect to the TC wireless network, which are based on user type:
--Eduroam: Available for all TC students.
--TC-Secure: Available for only TC faculty and professional staff.
--TC-Guest: Available for all visitors to TC.
TC Self Service App for Apple Devices INFOSYSTEM
The Self Service app is similar to the Apple App Store and provides customized content for TC-issued Mac laptops, desktops and iPads. This content includes access to TC software, critical system security updates, links, and other documentation.
The Self Service app gives you the flexibility of choosing what to install and when to install it. Self Service will function when you are on or off of the Teachers College network.
The Self Service app is only available for Mac laptops and desktops that are issued by Teachers College (excludes personal Mac computers).
TC Digital Media (TC DM) is an all-in-one multimedia platform where you can securely store and share your video and audio content. You can use TC DM on your computer or mobile device. This platform also allows you to store documents and record lectures.
