Configuring the Dashboard

Your File Share Dashboard offers shortcuts to different areas within File Share. Across the top are Quick Links - Home, My Files, Shared Files, Sites, Tasks, People.

File Share Quicklinks


Your Dashboard offers Tutorials, a way to Create a Site (folder), and a way to Edit your Profile. Also, you're allowed to customize your Dashboard's layout. To change your layout, you will need to click on the gear icon (which is located on the top right of the page)

Customize Dashboard

Now change the Layout by moving, adding, and removing Dashlets. Once you are done, click Ok to save.

File Share Dashlets


The most common Dashlets are:

My Sites - sites you belong to; project areas to collaborate with others, sharing content and working on it together

My Activities - follow what goes on in your sites; shows activities in sites you belong to (content added, deleled, edited; people joining or leaving)

My Tasks - tasks assigned to you; invitations to join sites (and whether you've accepted, and or started)

My Documents - track your own content
