In an Associated Press story that appeared on Latino Fox News, Sociology & Education Professor Amy Stuart Wells praises New York City teachers for pushing for a diversity pilot program in city schools. She says, however, that  American educators could use policies like magnet schools and targeted recruitment to reduce segregation and that "a lot more could be done" to achieve racial balance.
