In a blog post for the W. T. Grant Foundation, Professor Hank Levin argues that while state and local leaders now have increased access to evidence of program effectiveness, decisions regarding alternatives for improving educational outcomes are often made without information about costs.

 

Professor Levin outlines steps that could improve the usefulness of evaluations, inform decisions, and strengthen the field, writing, "even the most rigorous studies of educational outcomes are incomplete if they do not consider the costs that must be covered to obtain those outcomes."
