Please join the Center for African Education at Teachers College and the Black Caucus, Student Union, and Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Columbia's School of Social Work for an engaging documentary film screening of You Think You Grown? Dismantling Adultification.

This film premiered at the Apollo theatre, earning the title of “Best Documentary Feature” through its groundbreaking role in defining and exploring Adultification's effects on Black girls and women. In this film, educators, activists, artists, and teens share their experiences within Black girlhood and discuss dismantling Adultification for the next generation.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the award-winning Screenwriter and Director, Chanel Dupree. Pizza and beverages will be provided!
