Join the Center for African Education for an illuminating conversation with two Brazilian scholars working at the intersection gender and racial justice. We will be in dialogue with Ana Luísa Machado, Diretora de Formação e Assessoria (Training and Advisory Director) at Instituto GENi, and Márcia Ribeiro, PhD Researcher in Law, Gender, and Sexuality (UFMG) and Senior Legal Analyst at Mapa do Acolhimento. These leaders will share insights on the persistent gender and racial inequalities and highlight the work of Black women-led movements in Brazil. This talk will conclude with an engaging debate-style Q&A session. Lunch will be provided.
