Teaching for Democracy when Democracy is on the Ballot: Educator Panel

Social studies educators are charged with preserving democracy through their teaching. How should they accomplish this goal, particularly during a challenging electoral season?

Come join us for an engaging discussion with a panel of experienced educators on the challenges and opportunities of "teaching for democracy" during this election season. Each educator will share lessons and resources that engage students and foster participatory democratic skills!

Meet our Panelists:

Jessica Taylor: The Young Women's Leadership School (secondary); NYC

Antony Farag and Bailey Verdone: Westfield High School; NJ

Jia Lee: The Earth School (Elementary); NYC

Jenna Ryall: Director of Civics for All and Senior Instructionalist Specialist; NYC Department of Education
