Dear Members of the TC Community,

It’s hard to believe Fall 2022 is almost here! Though the world is still navigating how to live with COVID-19, we are grateful to be spending so much time in person with you. We look forward to meeting new students and continuing to engage with TC’s vibrant, collaborative campus community next semester.

Campus access will look very different in Fall 2022. Please carefully read this email to learn about the updates.

Daily Health Screening Ends August 18

On August 18, or upon your first visit to campus after this date, you should complete the Daily Health Screening (DHS) one more time. You will then have a ✅ (green check) for the fall semester, meaning you do not need to complete the DHS again. Please continue using the DHS each day you visit campus through August 18.

Identifying and isolating cases of COVID-19 remains critical to controlling the spread of the virus. After August 18, the DHS will become the Health Screening form and you must use it to report any COVID-19 positive test results or exposures. Upon receipt of your form, the Environmental Health and Safety team will contact you to explain current isolation guidelines.

Vaccines and Boosters Required

All TC community members (excluding those with vaccine exemptions) have now submitted proof of their COVID-19 booster or, if they did not, have been restricted from campus. New students or employees must upload proof of a vaccine and booster in order to access campus. The COVID-19 working group continues to monitor CDC booster guidelines and will update the community if and when future booster shots are required.

Vaccine Exemption Testing Continues

Community members with approved vaccine exemptions must continue to submit weekly PCR test results in order to access campus. Testing is no longer available on CU campus. Individuals must get tested at a local site or the Manhattan School of Music, which offers free testing, and submit weekly results using this form.

PCR Testing Continues for Vaccine Exemptions

Vaccinated and boosted individuals do not need to supply a gateway PCR test for Fall 2022. Again, please remember to report via the Health Screening form if you test positive or are exposed to COVID-19 during the semester.

Mask Mindful

Masks are optional for fully vaccinated and boosted individuals. TC will reinstate a mandatory masking policy if the city’s seven-day COVID-19 averages reach or exceed a combined positivity rate of 5%, 180 hospitalizations and 10 confirmed deaths. Please be assured that the College continues to follow established health and safety measures, including maintaining air purifiers throughout campus.
